Dan Ross began psychotherapy training in 2006, completed three years of post graduate work in psychiatric nursing and is now licensed as an Advance Practice Nurse in the field of psychiatric mental health. He completed his Nurse Practitioner training at RUSH College of Nursing.
Dan has worked in nursing for over 30 years in the fields of neurology and oncology and more recently hospice. His hospice career has covered 26 years. During his nursing career, he pursued training in management and completed a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He continues to work in the field of hospice as a Director and Administrator.
In 2000, Dan became a hospice consultant for a large national hospice company and continues to work as a Director of Clinical Services for Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice. He is certified in Hospice and Palliative Nursing and has worked with terminal clients in nursing and in psychotherapy, grief counseling, and bereavement. He has worked with families confronting the loss of a loved one. His unique background in nursing and psychiatry allows Dan to provide guidance, support and psychotherapy for issues related to death and dying.
In 2008, Dan Ross became certified as a Jungian Psychotherapist. He completed requirements to become a Diplomat Jungian Analyst and graduated in 2019.
Dan is currently in private practice in Northbrook, IL.
